Cuddles was the beloved Ferret 'Son' of findagrave contributor Frank Russo. Cuddles was a great individual who lived a great life. When we got Cuddles, he was jet black and only a few inches long. He was so small that he was able to fit in the palm of my hand. Cuddles was probably the littlest ferret we ever had, but was one of the sweetest! Cuddles was a Happy-go-lucky Soul who used to love to play with his brothers and sisters, and enjoyed fooling around with our cat, Kitten. As with all my other babies he was very loving. He loved to eat the cats food whenever we let him out of the cage and also enjoyed getting his ferret treats. He touched everyone that he met, and was the special favorite of our niece, Lexi. Lexi would always ask "How's Cuddles," when I would see her, and loved to hold him when she would come over our house. He was especially loved by my mother Rose, who taught him to be gentle when he was a baby. Cuddles was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (Insulinoma) in early October of 2005. We treated him for almost 10 months. He was doing wonderfully well, but suddenly went into shock in the early morning of July 27, 2006. We decided it was best to end his suffering, bringing him to the Rutherford Animal Hospital one last time. He crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at about 12:30pm. I made sure that I held him almost the whole time we were together before I said good-bye. I was with him when he died, all the while assuring him that he was and always will be 'My Little Baby Boy.' He is in God's hands now and is playing and running with his other little buddies in Heaven. Of course, he will be missed every day of our lives, but, we also know that we will all one day be together when we cross over the Rainbow Bridge together. We love you Precious Little Cuddles!
