Crawfordsville High School student Mary Krystle Rentschler, 16, died Saturday at Methodist hospital from complications after a car accident. She was following her boyfriend when the accident occurred.She just completed her sophomore year at Crawfordsville High School where she was active in PRIDE and choir.She also attended Southside Church of Christ and played softball with the Crawfordsville Park and Recreation. She was employed by Arni's of Crawfordsville.
She was born Oct. 27, 1989, at Crawfordsville, to Diane Rentschler. She survives.
Also surviving are her adoptive parents, Lisa Kalweit and Kurt Shaw; adoptive father, Dale Kalweit; three brothers, Craig Montoya, Kevin Archer and Mark Peterman, all of Crawfordsville; and adoptive sister, Tara Youngkin.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert & Mary Olsen.
