Mr Martin Gaither died February 27th at his home at Llitchfield, Ill., aged 42 years. Deceased was a son of Mrs Julia Gaither, and a brother of Mr A B F Gaither, of Statesville. He was also a brother of Mr Will Gaither at Harmony. A wife and several children survive. One of his children, Miss Julia Gaither, visited in Statesville last summer. He had lived in Illinois about 10 years.
