Port Huron- Mr. Thomas Richard Sawdon, 74, of Port Huron, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 in Marwood Manor Nursing Home in the loving presence of his six children.
He was born December 20, 1928 in Port Huron, to the late George and
Lillian Sawdon.
He married June Esther Badley in Port Huron on November 5, 1948.
Mr. Sawdon worked in the Parts Depot for Chrysler Corporation in Centerline for over 25 years before his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Port Huron Church of Christ and the Marysville Coin Club. He was devoted to his lord, his wife and his children.
He is survived by his wife, June; three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Liz) Sawdon of Austin Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Laura) Sawdon of Eagle River, Alaska, and Mr. and Mrs. Danny (Linda) Sawdon of Port Huron, three daughters Mr. and Mrs. Floyd (Sybil) Reichle of Marine City, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Peggy) Bowman of North Street, and Julia Bickle of Port Huron; 18 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle A. Bickle and a sister Mary Lou Smith.
Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Pollock Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in Pollock Randall Funeral Home. Richard Crisman of Bad Axe Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. His children will serve as pallbearers.
