Charlotte Faye Whiting. 65, of Morriston, Fla., was called home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2015, while at the Haven Hospice in Chiefland, Fla., with her husband by her side, after battling cancer for 31 years.

She was born on June 6, 1950, to Carlin and Mary Jackson of Pettyville, W.Va.

She was a beautiful lady, who was a true inspiration to those who knew and met her. She continues to inspire and uplift the hearts of many through her love and devotion to family and friends. She started her career as a beautician and later went to work for DuPont, Washington Works for over 20 years. Her true enjoyments in life were spending time with her family, fishing and camping in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, listening and playing Bluegrass music.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Whiting of 37 years; two sons, Sean (Lori) Britton of Lawrenceville, Ill. and Brad (Missy) Britton of Cutler Ohio; one daughter, Shelly Whiting of Morriston Fla.; five grandchildren, Brooke, Brianna, Bradley, Wesley and Alexzandra; mother Mary Jackson; and one brother, Rodney Jackson of Mineral Wells; three half sisters; one half brother; niece, Shawna and Jed Fordyce; nephew Bubby and Judy George; several other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father, Carlin Jackson; and sister, Sharon George.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Parkersburg.
