Mrs. Esther Tindall, 63
killed in auto crash
Mrs. Esther McKay Tindall, 63, of 18 Circle Dr., Lakehurst, NJ, a former resident of Staten Island, was killed Wednesday in an automobile accident in Lakewood, NJ. Her husband, Harold A Tindall, Sr. injured in the crash, is reported in serious condition in Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood.
Mrs. Tindall, born on Staten Island, moved to New Jersey in 1964. She was a descendant of the Prall and Hillyer families, early settlers on the Island.
She had been employed as a statistician by the US Army at Ft. Wadsworth, Miller Field and in Lakehurst for 20 years until her retirement three years ago. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Veterans of World War I.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tindall is survived by two son, Robert McKay and William McKay; five daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Maier; Mrs. Shirley Copeland; Mrs. Catherine McKay; Mrs. Margaret Rupp and Mrs Patricia Mazzuki; her mother, Mrs. Agnes Prall; three sisters; Mrs. Dorothy Prall Hill; Mrs. Alice Ackerly, Mrs. Grace Haney; 10 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Services will be conducted Monday in Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Asbury Methodist Cemetery, New Springville.
