She was born December 1, 1940 in Gary, IN. to Gilbert F. Soltwedel and Margaret Theil Soltwedel. She worked in many restaurants as a dishwasher for several years. She was a member of the Dana Nazarene Church. She loved to play bingo, going to her grandsons sporting events, and enjoyed spending time with the grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.
She is survived by three children, Todd Spencer of Montezuma, Joyce Frost and her fiancée Aaron Sonnevil of Marcellus, MI., and Jo-Ellen Foster of Montezuma; four grandchildren, Amanda Frost of MI., Amy Frost of Elkhart, John Michael Foster, and Tomas Gutierrez, both of Montezuma; one sister, Barbara Whitlow of Chesterton; two nephews, Dave Whitlow and Greg Whitlow, both of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Monday and services will be Tuesday at 11 at Brown-Mack Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Higgs, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma. Online condolences can be made at www.brownmackfuneralhome.com.
