Mrs. Mabel Edith Hill, 52, of near Lawson, passed away Monday, after an illness of about eight years. She had spent practically all her life in this community. The daughter of Wm. Adams and Elizabeth Fiddler Adams, she was born November 22, 1897.
May 19, 1917, in a ceremony performed by the late J.M. McAdams, she was united in marriage to Gilbert F. Hill of near Lawson.
She was a member of the Union Church, and lived a consistent Christian life.
She is survived by her mother, her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Prichard of Lawson; two sons, Kenneth Hill of Springfield; and Keith Hill of Lawson; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Union Church by Rev. A.F. Dorr of Tryon, Okls., a former pastor. Burial in the Union Cemetery, with the Jarman-Prichard Funeral Home in charge of the funeral arrangements.
The pallbearers were Alva Denton, Robert Denton, John W. Nolker, Donald Nolker, Stephen E. Nolker and Walter K. Nolker.
