William Bradley, Former Haywood Resident, Dies

Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home in Griffin, Ga., at 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon for William Bradley, native of Haywood county, who died at his home in Adel, Ga., on Saturday, following a brief illness. Mr. Bradley suffered a stroke on Friday.

The Rev. Wilson pastor of the Sparks Methodist church, was the officiating minister. Burial was in Griffin cemetery.

Mr. Bradley was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bradley, of Haywood County and moved to Andrews where he was a resident for 11 years. Until seven years ago he was owner and manager of the Bradley Hotel and barber shop.

A veteran of the Spanish-American war, Mr. Bradley was well known throughout Western North Carolina.

Surviving are his wife; two children by a former marriage, Mrs. J. Ward Long, of Franklin and Elton Bradley, of Panama City, Fla.; one granddaughter; two sisters, Miss Mary and Miss Lela Bradley both of Buena Vista, GA., two brothers, S. A. Bradley, of Griffin, Ga., and Asbury Bradley, of the Maggie section of Haywood county.
