Kerrie E. Bradshaw, 55, of Yucaipa, got her first hug from Jesus on Aug. 14, 2015, as He said, “Well done you good and faithful servant.”

Kerrie was born in Los Angeles on Dec. 17, 1959, to Toby and Harold Spezman. She graduated from El Camino High School in Woodland Hills, in 1977 and Loma Linda University with an RN, BSN in 1981.
Kerrie spent almost 10 years in nursing before becoming a medical legal consultant to attorneys and insurance companies for another 26 years.

Over the last 11 years she was a pastor and founder of Bear Witness Ministries. She also started and managed Praising in the Park which is in it's ninth year at the Yucaipa Community Park. She has several years of her messages she gave at the park on You Tube under Bear witness and has written and published three books.

As a pastor, Kerrie’s first love was God. Her second love was her family and the time spent with her grandchildren. When she needed to get away one of her favorite places was to go to Pismo Beach and sit on her favorite rock and watch the ocean.

The funeral was held on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 12:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Church with Pastor Tom Villalobos of Oak Valley Church and Pastor Bruce Dowell of Shiloh Messianic Congregation speaking to the friends and family attending. Graveside and interment followed the service at the Hillside Cemetery in Redlands.

A memorial will be held at the Yucaipa Community Park on Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. as part of the last night of Praising In The Park for this year. All who wish to pay their respects are invited to attend.
