Doris M. Grall, age 63, of 122 Hoover Street, Whitelaw, passed away Saturday evening August 15, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with her loving family at her side.
The former Doris Matzke was born on December 28, 1951 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Carl and Cecelia M. (Petasek) Matzke. She was a 1970 graduate of Reedsville High School. Doris received her Bachelors degree in education at Silver Lake College and her Masters degree in education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Doris worked at Roncalli High School as a counselor from 1977 until 1984 and at the Two Rivers Public School System as a counselor from 1984 until her retirement in 2007. On June 28, 1975, Doris was married to Thomas A. Grall at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Doris enjoyed reading, golfing and taking care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; Tom Grall, Whitelaw; two daughters and one son-in-law: Casey Zipperer, Whitelaw; Gina (Scott) Pfalzgraf, Mayville; four grandchildren: Natalie and Violet Zipperer; TJ and Jordan Pfalzgraf; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Joyce (Jerome) Blink, Bradenton, FL; Robert Staab, Two Rivers; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Roger (Carol) Matzke, Wrightstown; Marvin (Mary) Matzke, Green Bay; Michael Matzke, Green Bay; Suzanne Matzke, Green Bay; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Stanley (Mary) Grall, Manitowoc; Sandra Grall, Cato, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Cecelia Matzke; one sister: Sally Staab; one brother: Kenneth Matzke; infant brother: Raymond Matzke; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur and Cora Grall; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Diane Grall Araus (Alfredo Araus); Russel "Buzzy" Grall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Rev. Dave Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with inurnment of her cremated remains at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
