Nevada Governor. He was born in Czarnikau, Prussia which is now Poland. Served as Lieutenant Governor for the newly elected Silver Party from 1895 to 1898. After the death of Governor Jones, he served as Acting-Governor and was elected Governor in 1896 and served until 1903.
