Ed Buck was naturalized as a U.S. citizen 1876. He married Ruth Buffaloe in Lauderdale County, Tennessee July 28, 1898. Their children born there were: Charlie Sam Buck July 1899; Otto Buck 1905-1991; and Jennie V Buck 1908. Ed Buck became ill in Haywood County April 1, 1915 and died May 18, 1915 of gastritis and cardiac disease. He was buried in Halls Cemetery May 19, 1915. His wife Ruth died December 28, 1916 leaving three orphans. Otto Buck lived with his grandmother Fannie Douglas Stallings Buffaloe in the household of her son George W Buffaloe. The youngest, Jennie V. boarded with James Benjamin and Fannie Williams. (information from census, marriage and death records)
