The death and burial dates and places are not known. Some researchers show date of death as 1712 in Connecticut, HOWEVER I could find NONE with a valid source.

Sprague says that on January 21, 1706/1707 they sold the homestead in Braintree Massachusetts and removed to Lebanon, Connecticut; John and Deborah Payne were admitted to the church at Lebanon on November 23, 1712, and John died at Lebanon in February 1755.
