Elizabeth Minnie Rutherford, age 98, born in Prairie Lea, TX, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2015.
She has joined her beloved husband, James Rutherford and son, Robert (Skip) Rutherford as well as 7 of 10 brothers and sisters.
A loving mother and fabulous cook, Liz (Nons) always provided a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends.
Later in life she received her LVN License and worked in nursing home care until the age of 71.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Prosk & husband Paul; daughter-in-law, Kita Rutherford; 2 sisters, Alta Armstrong and Merle Parr; 3 grandchildren, James Rutherford & wife Linda, Gregory Rutherford & wife Lisa and Kris Brown; 7 great grandchildren, Robert Rutherford, Ryan Rutherford, Nick Rutherford, Brooke Rutherford, Chase Rutherford, Jackson Brown and Holden Brown.
Visitation will be at 2 pm, Friday, August 21, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a 3 pm Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spring Creek United Methodist Church, 28970 Old Fredericksburg Rd., Fair Oaks Ranch, TX 78015 (ATTN: KITCHEN BUILDING FUND) and/or the charity of one's choice
