John Carr DeFee..Son of Green Pinkham DeFee and Margaret Anna DeFee nee Carr. John was born Hunt County, TX near the small town of White Rock. Married first to Bernice McGarity..They had two sons and one daughter, Byron Maurice Defee, who is buried in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Muskogee County, Okla.
Lamar DeFee and Miriam DeFee.(Both listed below)
Sadly Bernice died 15 September 1920 and is buried Oakwood Cemetery, Jefferson County, Texas....

John later married Fay Myers...She died 13 November 1975. Fay was cremated and her remains were sent to Inglewood Cemetery, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, California 90307....Took some time to find her..Fay is inurned in niche 95, Alcove of the Cross, Sanctuary of Dreams, Mausoleum of the Golden West. Never found out who had Fay moved to Calif. or any next of kin.
John was a House Hold Goods saleman.
Recently had the Great Grand daughter of John C. and Miriam DeFee make contact and learned a little more of this family...May even find Lamar DeFee.(And accomplished!)

John had owned a cafe in Texarkana and the county was dry but I have found articles that he had a blind tiger (speakeasy) in the back of the cafe. See attached articles.
