George Nichols married Ettie I. Potter on January 12, 1887 at Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa, and soon after they moved to Clark SD, where they homesteaded.
Ettie passed away in 1910 and is buried in Henry, SD.
On November 15, 1913 George married Eva Mae Lackey who was the widow of John Sutton.
They divorced a couple of years later.
Ida was the widow of Henry H Wilder. Henry passed away in 1921.
Ida E. (Morris) Wilder married George January 17, 1925 in Watertown, SD.
Ida Nichols died in 1941.
On June 9, 1945 George and Eva remarried. Not long after their second marriage, the couple moved to different parts of the country, but never divorced. When I started researching George and his wife Eva, I was hoping they would end up happily ever after...not in 2 totally different states in the end.
Eva made her home in Berkeley, CA to be near her daughter, Mavis (Nichols) Boykin.
George made his home in Terry, MT in 1950. He came to live with his daughter Mrs Mabel Pomeroy. Mabel is the daughter George and Ettie.
George Nichols, 89, passed away at the local Terry, MT hospital after a short illness in 1954.
Eva passed away in Alameda County, California in 1957 at 81 years of age, and is buried in Clark, SD cemetery.
