J. S. Beall died at his home here Monday about 11 o'clock a. m. His age was 83 years, 10 months and 15 days. He leaves behind his wife and several children to mourn his death. Rev. Frank E. Perry of the M. E. Church, South, conducted the funeral services at his home Tuesday at 3 p.m. after which interment was made in the K. of P. Cemetery.

He was a son of Leah Hardman and John Harrison Beall. He married Dorcas Elizabeth Goff in Ritchie Co. on Oct. 11, 1866. He was a farmer.
