Jewell Frederick of 603 Lampton Lane died Thursday in Muskogee. She was a housewife. Funeral services will be held at Mills Chapel, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Her nephew, Rev. Travis Wiginton of Norman, will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Don Hackler, Bob Ettner, Leon Carroll, Jim Sinclair, Arnold Scott, Max Copeland and Bill Lampton. Mrs. Frederick was born in Holdenville and married Lark B. Frederick in Sentinel. They formerly owned the Hovaka coffee Shop in Hobart. They moved to McAlester from Tulsa in 1972. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fellowship, Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, Faith Chapter #454, O.E.S., Fortnightly Literary and Economics Club, Great Books Discussion Group, McAlester Regional Hospital Auxiliary, McAlester Garden Clubs, Daffodil Club, and the National Association of Mature People. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Barton of Oklahoma City; a sister, Zelma Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers, Forrest Brock of Yorba Linda, Calif. and Harold Brock of Orange, Calif.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and a son, L. . Frederick, Jr. in 1974. Mills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
