Roy S. Adams, 65, of 80 Leisure Living Estates died today at 8:05 a.m. at Ottumwa Hospital.
He was born Sept. 5, 1909, in Oskaloosa, the son of Clark and Bessie McKamey Adams. A retired Milwaukee Railroad engineer, he was a resident of Ottumwa for 31 years. He married Blanche J. Williams Sept. 8, 1930, in Oskaloosa.. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James of Moline, Ill., and Robert of Sunnymead, Calif.; two daughters, Dolores Williams and Barbara Sparks, both of Alpha, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmo of San Andreas, Calif., Austin of Stockton, Calif., and John of Des Moines; and two sisters, Ada Sullivan of Stockton, Ill. [sic-believe this should be Calif.], and Betty Phillips of Arlington Heights, Ill. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter and one sister.
Arrangements are pending at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.

The service for Roy S. Adams, 65, of Leisure Living Estates, who died Monday, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gordon Jensen of the Northgate Alliance Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harold Harness, Robert Boyd Sr., James Jackson, Jack Herrmann, Robert Box and Thomas Rimmer.
