Gloria Davenport Williamson, 83, of Anderson, widow of the late James H. Williamson, Jr., died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House.

She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School Class.

Affectionately known as Glo-Glo, she was much loved by her family and friends. She was an avid reader, gardener, and fabulous cook, but most importantly, she kept us all laughing with her wonderful sense of humor.

Allison and her husband, Rodney Allison of Anderson; her son, Henry Williamson and his wife, Joyce Sorrow Williamson of Dillard, GA; grandchildren, Jill H. She was preceded in death by a brother, Guy M. Davenport, Jr.
