Thelma Deloris Amos, 83, of Springfield passed away May 13, 2006. She was born in Busch, AR on August 25, 1922, daughter of James Solomon Walden and Laura Bell Young.
Thelma was a wonderful homemaker.
She was a member of the East Sunshine Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Elvis A. Walden, Clovis Abe Walden, and James Solomon "Hoppie" Walden and sisters, Opal Marie Burton and Norma Lee "Suzie" Fogg.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Oscar Ray Amos, a World War II veteran and retired member of the Plumbers and Steamfitter's Union Local 178; her son, James R. Amos her four grandchildren; her great-grandson; her sisters, Mary Alene "Pat" Phillips, and Betty Jo Cope; her brothers, Albert Forest "Cotton" Walden, Everett Harry "Johnsie" Walden and Franklin D. Walden and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends she so deeply loved.
Funeral services are May 18, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Stanley R. Maiden will be officiating. Burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
