My own research shows that she is Mary Esther Newlin, d/o Absalom Little Newlin and Nettie Sowers, and the wife of Benjamin Franklin Sowers. They were married 18 Apr 1889 in Jasper County. Benjamin later married Margaret J. McMullen 3 Feb 1904, probably in Fountain County, Indiana. They are both buried in the Phanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in that county.
