Christine Lambert Nobles, 80, of Summit, passed away, Monday, August 24, 2015 at her residence.

She was born July 15, 1935 in Monticello, MS. She was the daughter of Osby V. and Flora Mae Hughes Lambert. She was a member of South McComb Baptist Church. She was the office manager for McComb Bowling Center and worked many years at Talk of The Town, Williamson Lumber and Wholesale Upholstery and Carpet.

She was a member of the National Bowling Association and was a member of the Mississippi and National Bowling League’s Hall of Fame. Mrs. Nobles was very involved in establishing High School Bowling Leagues in Pike and surrounding counties.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Nobles and two sisters, Maxine Lambert and Linda Boyd.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Anita Hazlewood of Summit; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike Carona of Summit; four grandchildren, Christy Carona of Hattiesburg, Natasha Carona of McComb, Tabetha Stinson and husband, Vernon of McComb and Will Hazlewood of Summit; three great-grandchildren, Blake Beard of Summit, Brenan Stinson of Summit and Brooklyn Stinson of Colorado Springs, CO; special friends, Charles Alexander of McComb and Sue Bullock of Summit.

Visitation is Friday at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit from 5PM until 8PM and Saturday from 11AM until services at 2PM with Dr. David Millican officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Blake Beard, Will Hazlewood, Vernon Stinson, David Hughes, Mark Boyd and Brandon Westbrook. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Mitchell, Ted Hughes and Charles Alexander.
