Ronald L. Abers, 62, of Lemoyne, died Friday, August 21, 2015 in Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, MD. He was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of PA Office of Administration and a Consultant for Dering Consulting Group, Camp Hill. He was a graduate of Penn State University and a member, Ordained Ruling Elder, and Deacon of the Market Square Presbyterian Church, where he served on Session, chaired the Adult Education Committee, and was very involved with the Youth Group teaching Sunday School and accompanying them on mission trips. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Freda Barr Abers and is survived by one daughter, Anthea Abers; brother, Bill Abers of Shamokin Dam; nephew, Chad Abers; and niece, Ashley Abers. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am in Market Square Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Second St., Harrisburg with Rev. Kelly L. Wiant, Pastor, officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, Harrisburg. Parking will be available at the Market Square Parking Garage adjacent to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Market Square Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Second St., Harrisburg, PA 17101.
