JOS. STASIEK, RESIDENT HERE 40 YEARS, IS DEAD

Joseph Stasiek, 59, a well known resident of the city for forty years, passed away this morning at the family home 1125 South 25th street having suffered from pneumonia the past week.

The deceased was born in Poland, January 18, 1871 and came to this country with his parents when fifteen years old settling in this city. January 20, 1895, he was married to Nellie Becker, who, with eight children, four brothers and one sister survive. Mr. Satsiek was in the employ of the Northwestern for the past thirteen years.

Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Emily Czapiewski, Milwaukee, Mrs. Sophia Sczwiego, Milwaukee, Walter of this city, Miss Alice, Milwaukee, Mrs. Susan Bruce, this city and Misses Josephine, Wanda and Florence at home. The brothers are John, Anton, Steve Zendala of this city and Rev. A.B. Zendala, Detroit and one sister, Mrs. John Mrotek of this city.

Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's church with Rev. Pociecha officiating. The body will be taken to the home this afternoon from the Leschke funeral home. Burial will take place at the St. Mary's cemetery.
