Stanley H. Tadych, age 93, formerly of 1321 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, December 10, 1998, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 14, 1998, at St. Mary' Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. and Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born August 23, 1905, in Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Celia Matczynski Tadych. On June 9, 1930, he married the former Rose P. Mella at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. She preceded him in death on September 4, 1983. Stanley was employed by Mirro Aluminum Company for 43 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a charter member of St. Mary's Young Mens Club.

Survivors include one daughter and two sons-in-law, Pauline and Lloyd Wallander, James Schmelzle, all of Manitowoc; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Henry Tadych, Victor and Eleanore Tadych, all of Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Frances E. Kohls, Indiana, Rose and Roy Beck, North Carolina; six sisters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Mallman, Mrs. Gertrude Bast, Ms. Cecelia Mella, Agnes Greskowiak and her husband, Frank all off Manitowoc, Phyllis Wojta and her husband, Jerome, rural Two Rivers, Rita Pritzl and her husband, Norbert, Cato. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Gregory (Cathy) Wallander, Manitowoc, Paula (Ralph) Sukowaty, Manitowoc, Mary (Dale) Frank, Valders, Joseph (Michelle) Wallander, Antigo; ten great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Nick, Breet, Nathan Wallander, Alex and Kaitlin Sukowaty, Stephanie and Chad Frank, Kelsi and Spencer Wallander; one great-great-grandson, Dayton; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Schmelzle; one grandson, Nicholas Wallander,; two brothers, Theodore and Felix; and one sister, Sophie Peaschek.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Roman. Friends may also call Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
