Esther M. Tittle, age 76, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, and formerly of 864 Rapids Road, Manitowoc, entered into eternal rest Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 at North Ridge.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski, O.F.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Esther was born Aug. 17, 1926 in Manitowoc to the late Newphrey and Clara Andrastek Check. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. For 18 years, she worked as an instructional aid at Monroe Elementary School, Manitowoc. She married Siegfried O. Tittl, Oct. 30, 1948 in Manitowoc. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church's rosary and altar society.

Survivors include her husband Siegfried (Zeke) Tittl; five children, Thomas (Julie) Tittl, Mary Terens, and Mark Tittl, all of Manitowoc, Susan (John) Worley of San Francisco, Calif., and John (Nancy) Tittl of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Jeff Terens, Kathy Terens, Stacy (Cameron) Stewart, and Holly (Joe) Richardson; two sisters, Loretta (Wallace) Norkosky and Barbara (Bob) Jameson, all of Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and relatives may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. led by her cousin, Deacon Phil Andrastek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
