She married John G “Jack” Albertson in Philadelphia on March 9, 1946 who passed away November 1, 2010. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Naomi Lacy Albertson and brother Richard Lacy.
Rena and Jack moved to Riverton, NJ shortly after their wedding and resided there for nearly 40 years before moving to Mount Laurel. Rena was a long-time member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverton and more recently, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Mt. Laurel. She was also active in the Riverton Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons Jack of Mount Laurel and Don (Carolyn) of Voorhees, seven grand daughters, 13 great-grand children and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday August 31, at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St. (River Road), Riverton, followed by services at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Gary C. Englestad. Interment will be held privately in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery where Rena will be joining her husband.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at Medford Care Center where Rena resided for the past four years. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
