McKINNEY, Texas - Gweneth Louise Carlyle, 85, of McKinney, passed away Saturday (Aug. 22, 2015).
She was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Augusta, Maine, to Calvin and Alice Taber Bunker. On Dec. 25, 1948, Gweneth married William Howard Carlyle in Chula Vista, Calif.
She retired from American Olean Tile Company.
Gweneth was a volunteer firefighter for the Bolivar Fire Department and a member of the firemen's auxiliary. She made quilts for Project Linus.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Thompson and husband Larry of McKinney, Jacque Gilmore and husband Ed of Olean, Belinda Stanley and husband Robert of Bendale, Minn., and Judith Kinnaird and husband Steve of Palm Bay, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Teri O'Burg and husband Bruce of Surprise, Ariz.
Gweneth was predeceased by her parents, Calvin and Alice Bunker; her husband, William Howard Carlyle; siblings, Calven Spencer, Bill Bunker, Margie McBee and Calvin Bunker Jr.
Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee.
