Obituary Reads: Charles Thomas Adams age 82, of Fort Smith, formerly of Altus, died Thursday, November 20, at Sparks Regional Medical Center. He was a retired United Mine worker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Altus. Son of the late George and Josephine Qualls Adams, he was born Feb. 24, 1904. Survivors include his wife, Sybil Marie Martin Adams; two sons, R.J.(Robert James) and George Ralph both of Oklahoma City; a brother, Ezell of Fort Smith; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mr. Dunn officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Pallbearers were, Ray Rice, Donald Rice, Willard West, Newton Shaffer, Johnny Williams, and Sam Grayson.
