JOSEPH WACHOWITZ
(1863 - 1943)
Joseph Wachowicz(sic), 80, a resident of this city for 79 years, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 1125 South 23rd street.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday followed by services from St. Mary's Catholic church at 9 o'clock with the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Wachowicz was born in Poland on Dec. 19, 1862 (sic) and came to this city with his parents when he was one year old. The family came directly to Manitowoc. Fifty-seven years ago he married Miss Mary Schroeder.
Survivors are the widow and several nieces and nephews in this city.
The remains will be taken to the home from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home at 6 p.m. today and the rosary will be recited at the home at 7 p.m. on Friday.
