JOSEPH WIMMER
(1891 - 1986)

Joseph Wimmer, 94, of 2401 Marshall Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday, April 26, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 9:30 am Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by a grandson, Rev. David Koch, celebrant and Rev. Harold Berryman and Rev. Eugene Brochtrup. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Wimmer was born August 4, 1891 in the Town of Liberty, Manitowoc County, son of the late Michael and Theresa Stauber Wimmer. He married the former Julia Woznicky in November, 1916 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1948. He then married the former Anna Chilla on August 26, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mr. Wimmer was employed for 35 years at Medusa Cement Plant, Manitowoc, retiring in 1957.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Anita Wimmer of Ishpeming, Michigan and Patrick and Theresa Wimmer of Schofield, Wisconsin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Bernadette and DePaul Koch of Manitowoc and Zita Bouril of San Jose, California; three brothers, Peter Wimmer of Cooperstown, Emil Wimmer of Reedsville and Henry Wimmer of Green Bay; a sister, Mrs. Rose Bleser of Seymour, Wisconsin; 32 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Matt, Mike, John and Frank and a sister, Mary.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 9 pm Monday where a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm by a grandson, Rev. David Koch.
