Victor Wleczyk, 78, a Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday morning in Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Mr. Wleczyk was born Jan. 24, 1899 in Pulaski, Wis., son of the late Michael and Frances Okienioski Wleczyk. He married Josephine C. Baetka May 22, 1929 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death May 8, 1965. For many years he was employed with the City of Manitowoc, retiring in 1962.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Sandra Wleczyk of OakBrook, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Eugene Thuss of Manitowoc and Dorothy and Duane Gannon of Fond du Lac; a brother, Steven of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Martha Lewandowski of Milwaukee, 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Anthony, preceded him in death in 1944.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Thursday evening, where a prayer service will be at 7 o'clock.
