Donny, all the kids called him that, but I called him Eddie , but anyway he was a happy, carefree youngman of the med 1960's, just got out of the Navy, so handsome, sweet, and he liked alittle trouble. He liked to drive fast and he liked a good drink. I remember seeing Donny in his Navy outfit and he looked just so handsome, I was only 5 yrs old when I first met Donald at The Jones house. My family lived down the street and my older sister played with the girl that lived there. I would have to go get my sister to come home for dinner, and Donny would answer the door and he would always would say ," Say how ya doin cutie " and give me a big kiss on my forehead," and say " you sure are going to be a knock out someday " and he told me he was going to marry me someday and I believed him! Donny was full of life, and had many friends, he died at 21 years old, too young to go, and he went the hard way, the accident was so bad, I never seen cars so smashed, they were just piles of twisted metal, almost everyone was dead. I never knew till Aug 27, 2015, That Eddied was Donny who was really Donald George Hart, I just knew him as Eddie, not Donny! But I was only 5 yrs old, I don't know why he was Eddied to me! Donald gave me my 1st kiss by a man other than my Father and grandpa and I gave Eddied AKA Donny his last kiss on the night of his funeral, I was 5 years old, my sister picked me up to the casket and I kissed him on his right cheek, and I knew I would never see Eddie-Donny ever again! But he had made an impact in my Heart that would never be forgotten, and I thank him so much for being nice to a little sick girl, that know one else payed any attention to, Thank you Donny AKA Eddie! Thank you so much for my 1st Kiss and for just your kindness, God Bless you, Rest in Peace! From D. A. B.
