Funeral services for Mrs. Molley Looney, 60, well known citizen of Minden and Webster parish, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the First Methodist church. Rev. A.S. Lutz officiated, interment was in the Minden cemetery.
Mrs. Looney, the wife of J.A. Looney, died Sunday morning at the Minden Sanitarium from pneumonia, which she contracted from influenza. Mrs. Looney was born in Haughton, Bossier Parish, July 17, 1892, she was married to Mr. Looney. They moved to Minden thirty-two years ago and have lived here since.
Mrs. Looney was a devoted Christian, was a member and a worker in the First Methodist church. She was also a member of the U.D.C. and the Woodman Circle. Her many friends regret very much to learn of her death, and extend their sympathy to the family.
The deceased is survived by her husband, J.A. Looney, two sons, Julian Looney of Chicago, Ill., and Ben Earl Looney; two daughters, Mrs. David Moseley and Mrs. Roy Miller of this City; one sister, Mrs. Charlie Dickens, and one brother Mat McKenney of Dermott, Ark.
The active pallbearers were: A.S. Drew, H.H. Hardeman, Tom Glass, Sam Life, Grady Gray and Will McKinney.
The funeral was under the direction of the Dennis Funeral Home. There were many floral offerings.
