Christie Godwin Tilbury, 38, of Little Rock, was called to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 20, 2006, after a long illness. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 15, 1967, to Jim and Suzanne Godwin. She was preceded in death by her brother, James David "Chip" Godwin, Jr. She will forever be cherished and lovingly remembered by her husband Van, and her two daughters, Emily, 4, and Elizabeth, 3. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her parents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. Christie loved Greers Ferry Lake, boating, Bible study, reading, and was a gourmet cook. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church of Little Rock. Private graveside services will be held at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens, Dr. Ed Simpson officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tilbury residence in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Our House or American Cancer Society.
