Lillie was a daughter of William Edward Anderson & Marria Lou Vinnie "Myra" Childers. She grew up in Wilkes County. Lillie married James Ennis Anderson in 1906 in Wilkes County (they were 3rd cousins). They moved to Iredell County sometime between the birth of their first child & the 1910 Census. Lillie & James had a total of 13 children. Around 1937, Lillie was diagnosed with liver cancer. She succumbed to the disease on 1 Sep 1940 & was buried in St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery in Mount Ulla, NC.
