Barzilla Daugherty was the second wife of Granville Bunch, my great-great-uncle. Her first husband was Harrison Armes whom she married on October 15, 1905, in Morgan County, Tennessee. They had two children, daughter Ola May (called May) and son Frazier. Barzilla and Harrison divorced in June 1920 in Morgan County, and she married Granville on September 18, 1920, in the same county. After her death (at the hand of Granville), her children were raised by her parents, Joe and Ellen (Duncan) Daugherty,* and took the Daugherty surname. Barzilla's grave is marked with a small name marker of "Barzillia Daugherty." Her daughter May's grave is beside hers and is also marked with a small name marker of "May Daugherty" (Beech Grove is also known as Tioga Cemetery). (Barzilla was a first cousin once removed to Granville's first wife, Sarah Duncan. Sarah was a first cousin to Barzilla's mother, Ellen.)
