"Sauquoit . . .
Word has been received in this village of the death at his home in Syracuse of Edward D. Smalley, aged 65 years. Mr. Smalley was born here and had lived in Syracuse for many years. He had been ill for a long time. He was a civil engineer by occupation but for a number of years ill health had prevented him from engaging in active work. Besides his widos, Mrs. Alice Smalley, he leaves one brother, W. R. Smalley of Ressselaer."
