RAYBURN H. ELLIOTT
October 27, 1928 ~ February 9, 1989

Rayburn H. Elliott, 60, Valliant, died Thursday at McCurtain Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wright City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Smalling officiating and assisted by the Rev. Charles Duvall.

Burial will be in the Slater Memorial Cemetery in Wright City under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of Idabel.

Born on Oct. 27, 1928 at Wright City to Bernie B. and Mary Vada Elliott, he had lived in the Valliant and Wright City areas all of his life. He was employed by Weyerhaeuser Co. at the Wright City Mill for more than 20 years, was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his fiance, Evelyn Newman, Dacoma; two daughters, Florence Ellis of Valliant and Doris Ann Dollarhide of Broken Bow; one son, Benny Elliott, Valliant; two brothers, Bernie Elliott of Wright City and Allen Elliott of Tahlequah; two sisters, Pearl Oswell of Jasper, Texas and Shirley Bain of Antlers; and seven grandchildren.
