GARDEN CITY — Dale J. Towns, 71, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at his home in Garden City.
He was born Oct. 29, 1943, in Garden City to Harry William and Alice Elinor Baldwin Towns.
Mr. Towns was a lifetime resident of Garden City. He attended Garden City schools. He worked as a certified pipeline welder and equipment operator.
He enjoyed woodworking, airplanes, cars, and tinkering. He was a member of the Garden City Church of the Nazarene.
On Feb. 12, 1965, he married Tommie Rayas in Garden City. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-brother; and a step-sister.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Garden City Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
Memorials are suggested to St. Catherine Hospice in care of the funeral home.
