Valeria L. Tadych, 90, of 1129 S. 20th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday, October 5, 1990 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Valeria L. Becker was born April 28, 1900 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Mary Ziarnik Becker Jr. She married Francis A. Tadych on January 9, 1922 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death January 17, 1967. Mrs. Tadych was a member of the Senior Citizens Silvertones Choir and the Senior Citizens of Manitowoc. She had a great love and joy of singing and was a member of various church choirs at St. Mary Catholic Church from age 16 for 73 years until the age of 89.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Marcel F. and Doreen Tadych of Fond du Lac; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and John W. Wiesner of Manitowoc; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Clara Osieczanek, Marie Denk, Frances Frozena and Alex Becker, all of Manitowoc. Dorothy and Walter Erickson of Yuma, Arizona; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Anton, Alois and Erwin Becker; three sisters, Cecelia Woytal, Martha Zagrodnik and Helen Novak Becker; a daughter-in-law, Jane Tadych and three great grandchildren, Sarah and Katherine Wiesner and Joel Sweet.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm Sunday where a prayer service will be 7 pm by Father Roman.
