Mrs. Mary R. Walker, widow of the late lamented William S. Walker, died from apoplexy at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Beck, in St. Louis, on Monday, Nov. 11th, after an illness of several days, aged 78 years. The deceased was the daughter of the late Judge Ricaud, of this county. She is survived by one son, Mr. Wm. S. Walker, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Beck and Miss Cornelia R. Walker, all of St. Louis. Her remains were brought to Baltimore Thursday and interred in Greenmount cemetery beside those of her husband. Mrs. Walker was of a most lovable nature, warm-hearted, generous, gentle and kind, and enjoyed the love and admiration of a host of friends. While a resident of this county her home was noted for its hospitality and her sweet gentle nature was an inspiration to all who knew her. Many friends from Chestertown and the county attended the funeral.
