JOHN J. ZAGRODNIK
(1882 - 1965)
John J. Zagrodnik Sr., 82, of 1144 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness. Mr. Zagrodnik has been alderman of the old Seventh Ward for three terms.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Leschke Bergner Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery.
Mr. Zagrodnik was born at Manitowoc May 25, 1882, son of the late John and Constance Krause Zagrodnik. He married Anna Frozena at St. Mary Church, Manitowoc, June 5, 1905. She died Feb. 12, 1953. He was an employe of Mirro Aluminum Co. 30 years and a member of the Mirro Retirement Club and Holy Name Society.
Survivors are three sons, Edwin S., John Jr., and Albert Zagrodnik, two daughters, Mrs. Siegfried (Josephine) Kadow and Miss Catherine Zagrodnik, three brothers, Alex, Joseph and Paul Zagrodnik, a sister, Mrs. Josephine Bonk, of Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where at 7 o'clock this Monday evening the Rosary will be recited by the parish and members of the Holy Name Society.
