He was born on Tuesday, April 25, 2000 in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky. He was the son of Ricky Altman of Greensburg, KY, and Sondra Curry Altman of Greensburg Ky. He died Monday, August 31, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 15 years, four months, and six days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a Sophomore at Green County High School where he was a member of FFA, and FCA. He loved to ride four-wheelers, loved fishing, hunting, packing hay with his Papaw Altman, and wrestling with his nephews.

Besides his parents Payton is survived by the following: His grandfather: V.T. Altman of Greensburg, KY
Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Megan and JR Curry, and Brandy and Jason Tucker all of Summersville, Ky, and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mathis Altman, and Lester and Hazel Curry.

Memorials are suggested to the charity or memorial of your chose, which can be made at the funeral home.



The funeral services for Thomas Payton Altman will be conducted 2pmCT, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Greg Whitlow and Bro. Barney Taylor will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 12pmNoonCT, until 9pmCT, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Jake Tucker, Griffin Fields, Gannon Durrett, Andrew Mosby, Chase Compton Jared Milby, Daniel Curry, Jeffrey Pepperman.

Honorary pallbearers: GCHS Class of 2018; Ricky Cantrell, River Compton, Slade Burris, Layke B urris, Gavin Thornton, Alex Lee, Brian Neagle, Kenny Chase, Jonathan Cox, and Chris Milby.
