Johannes Gerardus Maria WILLEBRANDS was born September 4th.-1909 in BOVENKARSPEL-HOLLAND.
He was ordained to Priest of the Roman Catholic Church on May 26th.-1934.
He was 30 years later appointed to BISHOP.
Pope PAUL the SIX elevated Him in Consistory to CARDINAL on April 28th.-1969.
CARDINAL WILLEBRANDS was from 1975 untill 1983 ARCHBISHOP of UTRECHT,the Highest Authority of the Roman Catholic Church in HOLLAND.
He was Emeritus President of the Pontifical Council for the promotion of Christian Unity and Chamberlain of the College of Cardinals.
He had also the Title of CARDINAL PRIEST of S.SEBASTIANO alle CATACOMBE.
CARDINAL WILLEBRANDS died Tuesday,August 1th.-2006 in the Monastary St.NICOLAS of the SISTERS FRANCISCANESSEN in DENEKAMP-HOLLAND, where He lived the last years of His Life.
He was the oldest living CARDINAL in the Roman Catholic Church.
CARDINAL WILLEBRANDS was a fantastic Servant of the good LORD.
