AUBURN - Mrs ALVERDA M DEPEW, 79, wife of Isaiah Depew Rt 2 Auburn died at the DeKalb Memorial Hospital here at 12:30 pm Sunday.

Mrs DePew was hospitalized for just one day when she died.

The body is at the Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, Auburn, where friends may call now. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 pm Tuesday with the Rev Everett Haines, pastor of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs Depew was born Oct 21, 1890 near Auburn and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of Oliver and Anna Krueger Funk. Her late home is located five and one-half miles southeast of the city.

She and Mr Depew were married in 1912.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs Howard Oberlin of Mooresville, and Mrs Jonas Relyea of Rt 2 Butler; a son, William C DePew of Rt 1 Auburn; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Funk in Oregon and Harry Funk of Lawen Oregon, and two sisters, Mrs Della Hawk of Sturgis Michigan, and Mary Eaton of Grand Rapids Michigan.
