Joseph Zarnik (sic), a native of this city, who left here eight years ago for Pierre, South Dakota, died on Tuesday of last week, aged 28 years. Death was due to inflammatory rheumatism.
He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war, having served with the company from this city.
He is survived by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
The body was brought here for burial. The funeral was held Saturday forenoon from St. Mary's church.
