Nieves Dionicio Sauceda, age 51, passed away on July 11, 2006 at a local hospital.

He lived his life to the fullest each day. He was a bowler in his early days, and current owner of "A & N Auto Sales". In his spare time he loved to go to the flea market and spend time with his best friends Raul and Irene Borego. He was a very generous and respectful man.

He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Sauceda; brother, Jesse "Chaco" Sauceda and his mother Guadalupe Sauceda.

Survivors include his children, son Nieves (Cynthia) Sauceda Jr. from Corpus Christi, Texas and daughter Barbara (Michael) Handy from Ohio. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Christy Sauceda, Elias Castillo III, Nieves Sauceda III, Michael O. Handy, and Jacob Handy and one great grandchild, Mathew. He is also survived by his brothers, Guillermo S. Sauceda, Lionel (Mria) Sauceda, Felipe (Rosalinda) Sauceda; sisters, Guadalupe (Isidro) Felan and Maria Anguiano all from Corpus Christi, Texas and one uncle, Pablo Reyes Jr. from Poth, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many others that he loved and cherished. He loved his faithful nephews who stood by his side day after day, Juan "Chuco" and Roman Felan.

Honorary Pallbearers: Nieves D. Sauceda, Jr. and Nieves D. Sauceda III. Pallbearers are Juan "Chuco" Felan, Roman G. Felan, Raul Alejandro, Lee Sauceda, Ruben Anguiano and Fernando Cruz.

Public visitation and rosary were conducted July 16, 2006 at Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated on July 17, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
